CVSS v3.1 |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, urb_select_interface can free the device's MS config on error but later code still dereferences it, leading to a use after free in libusb_udev_select_interface. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.22.0, ecam_encoder_compress_h264 trusts server-controlled dimensions and does not validate the source buffer size, leading to an out-of-bounds read in sws_scale. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. ainput_send_input_event caches channel_callback in a local variable and later uses it without synchronization; a concurrent channel close can free or reinitialize the callback, leading to a use after free. Prior to 3.22.0, This vulnerability is fixed in 3.22.0. |
| vscode-spell-checker is a basic spell checker that works well with code and documents. Prior to v4.5.4, DocumentSettings._determineIsTrusted treats the configuration value cSpell.trustedWorkspace as the authoritative trust flag. The value defaults to true (package.json) and is read from workspace configuration each time settings are fetched. The code coerces any truthy value to true and forwards it to ConfigLoader.setIsTrusted , which in turn allows JavaScript/TypeScript configuration files ( .cspell.config.js/.mjs/.ts , etc.) to be located and executed. Because no VS Code workspace-trust state is consulted, an untrusted workspace can keep the flag true and place a malicious .cspell.config.js ; opening the workspace causes the extension host to execute attacker-controlled Node.js code with the user’s privileges. This vulnerability is fixed in v4.5.4. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Versions below 7.1.2-19 and 6.9.13-44 contain a heap use-after-free vulnerability that can cause a crash when reading and printing values from an invalid XMP profile. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-44 and 7.1.2-19. |
| Roundcube Webmail before 1.5.13 and 1.6 before 1.6.13 allows Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) injection, e.g., because comments are mishandled. |
| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows Win32K - ICOMP allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Use after free in Video in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 147.0.7727.101 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Use after free in FileSystem in Google Chrome prior to 147.0.7727.101 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit object corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |

| Use After Free vulnerability in Apache Arrow C++.
This issue affects Apache Arrow C++ from 15.0.0 through 23.0.0. It can be triggered when reading an Arrow IPC file (but not an IPC stream) with pre-buffering enabled, if the IPC file contains data with variadic buffers (such as Binary View and String View data). Depending on the number of variadic buffers in a record batch column and on the temporal sequence of multi-threaded IO, a write to a dangling pointer could occur. The value (a `std::shared_ptr<Buffer>` object) that is written to the dangling pointer is not under direct control of the attacker.
Pre-buffering is disabled by default but can be enabled using a specific C++ API call (`RecordBatchFileReader::PreBufferMetadata`). The functionality is not exposed in language bindings (Python, Ruby, C GLib), so these bindings are not vulnerable.
The most likely consequence of this issue would be random crashes or memory corruption when reading specific kinds of IPC files. If the application allows ingesting IPC files from untrusted sources, this could plausibly be exploited for denial of service. Inducing more targeted kinds of misbehavior (such as confidential data extraction from the running process) depends on memory allocation and multi-threaded IO temporal patterns that are unlikely to be easily controlled by an attacker.
Advice for users of Arrow C++:
1. check whether you enable pre-buffering on the IPC file reader (using `RecordBatchFileReader::PreBufferMetadata`)
2. if so, either disable pre-buffering (which may have adverse performance consequences), or switch to Arrow 23.0.1 which is not vulnerable |
| A flaw was found in the rgaufman/live555 fork of live555. A remote attacker could exploit a segmentation fault, in the `increaseBufferTo` function. This vulnerability can lead to memory corruption problems and potentially other consequences. |
| An Incorrect Synchronization vulnerability in the management daemon (mgd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a network-based attacker with low privileges to cause a complete Denial-of-Service (DoS) of the management plane.
When NETCONF sessions are quickly established and disconnected, a locking issue causes mgd processes to hang in an unusable state. When the maximum number of mgd processes has been reached, no new logins are possible. This leads to the inability to manage the device and requires a power-cycle to recover.
This issue can be monitored by checking for mgd processes in lockf state in the output of 'show system processes extensive':
user@host> show system processes extensive | match mgd
<pid> root 20 0 501M 4640K lockf 1 0:01 0.00% mgd
If the system still can be accessed (either via the CLI or as root, which might still be possible as last resort as this won't invoke mgd), mgd processes in this state can be killed with 'request system process terminate <PID>' from the CLI or with 'kill -9 <PID>' from the shell.
This issue affects:
Junos OS:
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S1,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S3, 24.4R2;
This issue does not affect Junos OS versions before 23.4R1;
Junos OS Evolved:
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S5-EVO,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S1-EVO,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S3-EVO, 24.4R2-EVO.
This issue does not affect Junos OS Evolved versions before 23.4R1-EVO; |
| filippo.io/edwards25519 is a Go library implementing the edwards25519 elliptic curve with APIs for building cryptographic primitives. In versions 1.1.0 and earlier, MultiScalarMult produces invalid results or undefined behavior if the receiver is not the identity point. If (*Point).MultiScalarMult is called on an initialized point that is not the identity point, it returns an incorrect result. If the method is called on an uninitialized point, the behavior is undefined. In particular, if the receiver is the zero value, MultiScalarMult returns an invalid point that compares Equal to every other point. Note that MultiScalarMult is a rarely used, advanced API. For example, users who depend on filippo.io/edwards25519 only through github.com/go-sql-driver/mysql are not affected. This issue has been fixed in version 1.1.1. |
| ADB Explorer is a fluent UI for ADB on Windows. Versions 0.9.26020 and below fail to validate the integrity or authenticity of the ADB binary path specified in the ManualAdbPath setting before executing it, allowing arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the current user. An attacker can exploit this by crafting a malicious App.txt settings file that points ManualAdbPath to an arbitrary executable, then convincing a victim to launch the application with a command-line argument directing it to the malicious configuration directory. This vulnerability could be leveraged through social engineering tactics, such as distributing a shortcut bundled with a crafted settings file in an archive, resulting in RCE upon application startup. Thus issue has been fixed in version 0.9.26021. |
