A flaw was identified in Keycloak’s OpenID Connect Dynamic Client Registration feature when clients authenticate using private_key_jwt. The issue allows a client to specify an arbitrary jwks_uri, which Keycloak then retrieves without validating the destination. This enables attackers to coerce the Keycloak server into making HTTP requests to internal or restricted network resources. As a result, attackers can probe internal services and cloud metadata endpoints, creating an information disclosure and reconnaissance risk.

The application accepts user-supplied URLs and performs server-side HTTP or HTTPS requests without sufficient validation or destination restrictions. The implementation does not enforce allowlists, block internal or private IP address ranges, or apply request timeouts or response size limits. An attacker can abuse this behavior to induce the server to issue outbound requests to arbitrary hosts, including internal network resources, potentially enabling internal network scanning and denial of service through resource exhaustion.

This is due to insufficient validation of the `endpoint` parameter in the `get_items()` function of the GetResponse REST API handler. The endpoint's permission check only requires `edit_posts` capability (Contributor role) rather than `manage_options` (Administrator). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to make server-side requests to arbitrary endpoints on the configured GetResponse API server, retrieving sensitive data such as contacts, campaigns, and mailing lists using the site's stored API credentials. The stored API key is also leaked in the request headers.

FrontMCP is a TypeScript-first framework for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Prior to 2.3.0, the mcp-from-openapi library uses @apidevtools/json-schema-ref-parser to dereference $ref pointers in OpenAPI specifications without configuring any URL restrictions or custom resolvers. A malicious OpenAPI specification containing $ref values pointing to internal network addresses, cloud metadata endpoints, or local files will cause the library to fetch those resources during the initialize() call. This enables Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and local file read attacks when processing untrusted OpenAPI specifications. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.0.

The internal IP check in isInternalAddress() only blocks private IPs when CHECK_INTERNAL_IP=true, which is not the default. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform SSRF against internal network resources. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.14.10.3.
